Game assets

A game asset is a playable setup: one game mode on one map, with its lobby, team spawns and mode settings. One map can have several games, such as dom_brittany and tdm_brittany.

{
"gameName": "dom_brittany",
"mapName": "Brittany",
"inRotation": true,
"lobby": { "x": 158.5, "y": 4.0, "z": -2.5, "pitch": 0.0, "yaw": 0.0 },
"teams": [
{
"name": "Allies",
"spawns": [
{ "x": -170.1, "y": 24.6, "z": 624.1, "pitch": 0.0, "yaw": 6.2 }
]
},

],
"gameModeData": {
"gameType": "dom",
"capturePoints": []
}
}
Field Required Default Description
gameName Yes The game’s name. Use the same value as the file name.
gameModeData Yes The mode’s settings. gameType picks the mode. See Game mode settings.
mapName No Empty The map asset to play on. Must match a map file name.
lobby No None Where players wait before the match.
teams No None Each team’s spawns.
inRotation No true Whether the game is in the rotation of games. Campaign games set this to false.

A position in a game asset has five required fields. pitch and yaw are the direction you face there.

Field Type Description
x, y, z Number World position.
pitch Number Up and down angle.
yaw Number Left and right angle.
Field Required Description
name Yes The team’s name.
spawns Yes A list of positions.

Each mode has its own teams, and name must match one or the entry is ignored. Most modes use Allies and Axis. Infected uses Survivors and Bootcamp uses Recruits. Free For All, Infected and Trouble Town use randomSpawns in their mode settings instead of team spawns.

The last argument is the game mode’s id:

/assets create games dom_mymap dom
/assets edit games dom_mymap map MyMap
/assets edit games dom_mymap lobby
/assets edit games dom_mymap spawn add Allies
/assets edit games dom_mymap spawn add Axis
/assets save-all

If a mode has more than one configuration, such as ranked and casual Saboteur, they share one game asset.

Every game has these commands. Commands that use a position take it from where you stand.

Command (after /assets edit games <name>) What it does
tp Teleports you to the lobby.
map <mapName> Sets the map.
lobby Sets the lobby to your position.
rotation <true/false> Adds or removes the game from the rotation.

Each mode adds its own commands, listed in Game mode settings. Run /assets save-all when you’re done.

/assets test tells you what a game is missing.
