Discord Privacy Policy
Introduction
Section titled “Introduction”This policy describes how the BlockFront Discord application (the “App”) handles data. The App has two parts: Discord Rich Presence shown on your own profile, and a community bot that operates exclusively in our official BlockFront Discord server. This policy supplements our general BlockFront Privacy Policy, which covers the game and cloud services.
1. Rich Presence
Section titled “1. Rich Presence”If you run Discord alongside the game, the BlockFront mod can display your current activity (username, rank, game mode, and map) as Rich Presence on your own Discord profile. This happens entirely through the Discord client on your own computer. We do not receive, collect, or store any data through Rich Presence.
2. What the Bot Collects and Stores
Section titled “2. What the Bot Collects and Stores”The bot stores only the following, on our own servers:
- Discord user ID: If you voluntarily link your Discord account to your BlockFront game account using our verification command, we store your Discord user ID alongside your Minecraft UUID. This link powers role and nickname synchronization with your in-game rank, supporter status, and clan, as well as supporter perks.
- Voice-channel participation time: While your account is linked, we record the amount of time you spend unmuted in our official server’s voice channels, as a duration counter only, for in-game progression rewards. We do not record audio and have no ability to do so.
3. Message Content
Section titled “3. Message Content”The bot processes messages in our official server transiently and does not store, log, or analyze message content. Specifically, it:
- Reads messages to detect and execute staff commands, then deletes the invoking message;
- Enforces a small set of server rules (for example, removing disallowed attachments or messages in restricted channels); moderated messages are deleted, not kept;
- Reads staff-written announcements from one designated channel and displays them in the in-game news feed. These articles are held in a temporary in-memory cache and are never written to disk.
Message content is never stored off-platform, shared with third parties, or used for advertising, analytics, or training AI or machine-learning models. The bot does not process direct messages; it only sends them (for example, to explain a moderation action).
4. What the Bot Does Not Collect
Section titled “4. What the Bot Does Not Collect”The bot does not collect or store your presence or online status, your activity in other servers, your message history, member lists, or any profile data beyond the Discord user ID described above.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Section titled “5. Data Retention and Deletion”Your Discord user ID is kept only while your account link is active. It is deleted automatically and immediately if you leave our Discord server, and is also removed if your account is banned from our services or deleted. You can therefore delete your linked Discord data yourself at any time by leaving the server.
Closing your BlockFront account in game deletes all of this data, including your voice-activity counter, once the account is deleted. For any other deletion request, contact us at privacy@blockfrontmc.com or message the staff team in our official Discord server, and we will process your request.
6. Sharing
Section titled “6. Sharing”We do not sell data collected through the App and do not share it with any third party. It is used solely to provide the features described above.
7. Changes to This Policy
Section titled “7. Changes to This Policy”We may update this policy periodically. Significant changes will be communicated through our Discord server or the in-game news feed.
