Publishing
Campaigns are published on Modrinth as resource packs.
Before you publish
Section titled “Before you publish”- Set
versioninpack.json. - Set
minModVersionif you rely on a recent BlockFront feature.
Create your Modrinth project
Section titled “Create your Modrinth project”Create a new resource pack project on Modrinth. You don’t need to upload anything yet. Include “BlockFront Campaign” in the name or description, as the in-game Browse Campaigns button searches for those words.
Link your project
Section titled “Link your project”Copy your project’s id or slug into modrinthProject in pack.json. Your campaign’s card then gets a Modrinth Page button, so players can reach your page from inside the game.
This step is optional, but do it before you make the zip. Adding it later means uploading a new version.
Make the zip
Section titled “Make the zip”Zip the contents of your pack folder, so pack.json and pack.mcmeta sit at the root of the zip. Leave out session files such as session.lock, along with playerdata, stats and advancements in your world.
Play it through from the zip before you upload it, since that’s what players will run.
Upload your campaign
Section titled “Upload your campaign”- Upload your zip to your project as a version for Minecraft 1.21.1.
- Add a required dependency on BlockFront.
- Submit your project for review.
What players see
Section titled “What players see”The first time a player starts a community campaign, the game warns them that it isn’t official. The game doesn’t check for updates to community campaigns, so players download new versions from your Modrinth page.
