Weapons
Your weapons come from your class and your team’s nation. In most modes, you get a different gun by choosing a different class or class level.
Some modes work differently:
- Saboteur: buy your gear each round with the money you earn.
- Gun Game: your weapon changes as you get kills.
- Infected: buy from the vendor with the points you earn.
Kinds of gun
Section titled “Kinds of gun”| Type | How it plays |
|---|---|
| Pistol | A sidearm for when your main gun is empty or out of reach. |
| SMG | Fast firing, best up close. |
| Carbine | A shorter rifle that’s easier to handle. |
| Rifle | Accurate shots at range. |
| Shotgun | Very strong up close. |
| LMG | Sustained fire you can carry around. |
| Machine Gun | Heavy sustained fire. |
| Anti-Tank Rifle | A heavy rifle for armoured targets. |
| Rocket Launcher | Explosive rockets for armour and cover. |
| Flamethrower | Burns targets at short range. |
Some guns come in versions with a scope, a suppressor or a different magazine. These are part of the class kit, so you can’t fit them yourself.
Using a gun
Section titled “Using a gun”- Aiming: this tightens your shots but slows you down. A few weapons can only fire when fully aimed.
- Sprinting: you can’t fire while sprinting. Pressing fire or aim stops your sprint, and your gun takes a moment to come back up.
- Reloading: press your Reload Gun key. If you fire on an empty magazine, you’ll hear the gun click.
- Fire modes: press your Switch Firemode key on a gun with more than one mode.
- Bipods: a gun with a bipod deploys it when you crouch with a surface to rest it on.
You can also press your Inspect Gun key for a closer look, and your Last Weapon key to swap back to what you were holding before.
Grenades
Section titled “Grenades”Left-click for a long throw and right-click for a short one. A grenade that can be cooked starts its fuse when you press, and you throw it when you let go, so holding on too long is dangerous.
| Grenade | What it does |
|---|---|
| Frag | Explodes after its fuse runs out. |
| Smoke | Blocks vision. |
| Fire | Sets the area alight. |
| Anti-Tank | Damages armoured targets. |
| Flash | Blinds nearby players, most of all those looking at it. |
| Decoy | Distracts players with fake sounds. |
Each nation has its own versions, and which ones you get depends on your class and the game mode.
Melee and equipment
Section titled “Melee and equipment”Every class except Anti-Tank carries a melee weapon, and Anti-Tank carries a wrench. Getting a kill from behind earns extra EXP.
Some classes carry extra equipment:
| Item | Carried by |
|---|---|
| Medical Syringe, Medic Bag | Medic |
| Syrette Adrenaline Syringe | Medic, at higher levels |
| Binoculars | Sniper, and Commander at lower levels |
| Command Radio | Commander |
| Landmine | Anti-Tank, at higher levels |
Skins change how your weapons look, and never how they perform. You earn gun skins by playing and equip skins in your Armory.
Skins come in these rarities, from most common to rarest:
- Coal
- Iron
- Lapis
- Gold
- Diamond
- Obsidian
Every copy of a skin has its own number, which decides how its pattern looks. A lower number is rarer.
